Oh, Joe.

I just read a cute blog about favorite desserts from Trader Joe's, and it brought up a couple of things to mind. First of all, I'd like to say that Trader Joe's really is a cool market. Secondly, the boyfriend tries to act like he doesn't know what I'm talking about when I say "market." He thinks the only way to refer to a place that sells food is "the grocery store." And thirdly, my mom shouted out with glee when she heard a rumor that a Trader Joe's was opening up within walking distance of us. It's just an awesome market full of magical things like a wine guide, how to brew a perfect cup of coffee, and all kinds of tasty recipes.

What's your favorite market? And do you call it a market or a grocery store?

Mathematician

Trying to study for my Graduates Record Exam.
I hate math.
And every time I see someone do anything more than 2+2 without a calculator, I immediately think...

I'll post something more interesting sooner or later.

Not so fast, Monday.

Mondays aren't usually slow for me.
This Monday is slow.
Here's a list of some things that might make your Monday not so slow...

1. Just another cat and dog video to aid your procrastination.
2. This t-shirt makes me giggle every time. (Even though my football fanatic boyfriend never even grins when I show it to him!)
3. I mostly wish I lived in the U.K. so I could buy this in time for any New Year's Eve hoopla.
4. This bar is calling my name!
5. Asos is having a very nice sale.
6. Silly, but I still want one.
7. And a song to get stuck in your head on this Monday Monday.

Have nice and easy Monday. xo

Broke-de-broke

Moddern Elizabeth Taylor à la Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

Ever think you had a certain amount of money until you realize you're about to overdraft?? Don't lie, I know you do it all of the time. I still daydream of glamorous and unaffordable things, too.

Here are some things that dazzle my eyes and remind me of Elizabeth Taylor would wear today if one of my old time favorite movies was remade.

One shoulder party dress, $398
Steve Madden platform stiletto heels, $130
Clare Vivier clutch, $145
J Crew crystal jewelry, $95
Satomi Kawakita ring, $1,460

Fruit Ninja

I just got back from a nice walk from the car dealership,  and I never really noticed how many fruit trees people have in my neighborhood. There are lime trees and lemon trees, pomegranates, oranges, grapefruits, figs, and even persimmons and loquats. I live about a mile from the car dealership, and that's a lot of fruit!

So it reminded me of a conversation I had with a very good friend the other day. We were walking around our block, and I was thinking of picking a grapefruit that was hanging over some one's fence. But I didn't because it was broad daylight. Normally I would if I was running with The Boyfriend at night. It almost gives me a little more motivation to run faster because I swear I'm not stealing...I'm just enjoying the fruit you forgot to pick. Back to my friend's convo, she told me it is totally cool to pick fruit that hangs over the fence. It's almost like the law of the land!

Either way, I still love being the fruit ninja of the night.

The beginning.

This is a place for me to share my daily findings. A place for me to sometimes rant and rave. A place for me to know someone is out there listening and nothing more. There isn't really a reason why I'm doing this blog other than it's something that has been burning inside me for quite sometime. There will be changes over time as I learn from my mistakes, so please stick with me.

Hasta la próxima.
