Failure to Snip
Last Friday was National Donate Your Hair Day, and I vowed to snip mine off. But I failed to do so! After doing some last minute research, I found out that I need to donate at least 10 inches of hair in order for a decent wig can be made. Sadly, my hair isn't quite long enough yet for me to cut it to a comfortable length. I would've had to cut my hair to my chin instead of my top of my shoulders, and that just gets me antsy. (I have a fairly large sized head and a long face, so I'm not really sure if really short do's will look good on me.) But I will donate soon enough! I bought some Biotin supplements today (only a 1,000 mg dose because I heard if you take too much it can really harm our health.) I'm hoping to get to the ideal donating length by the beginning of June. If anyone is reading this, do you have a big and medium to short hair? I also have lazy waves and very think hair and hoping I won't have triangle head after the snip...

Cookies
So recently, my best friend was having a bad day, I was down on myself about not being thin enough, still having acne in my 20's (I thought that was supposed to go away already!!), blah blah blah. Naturally we made 5 dozen chocolate and peanut chip cookies. No joke.
This is how we did...
We failed to melt the butter enough, and hence we broke the mixer that is clearly from the 80's. Then we stirred the rest of the way with a wooden spoon. Let me tell you, not fun. I'm sure there was a better solution...
Luckily for us, the boyfriend had some friends over at his house. The obvious solution to baking 5 dozen cookies at midnight? Taking those 5 dozen cookies to boys.

Save the Date
Not for a wedding (really), but for my hair. April 27th is National Donate Your Hair Day. I've been debating on whether to do it or not, and I thought that maybe if I officially put it out there, I'd be held accountable. Plus, just thinking about women who have been diagnosed with cancer or have other ailments that take away their hair and happiness with it is just another reminder of how fast and easy my hair will grow back. I'm hoping to channel Camilla Belle and cut something like her mid length bob.
The 5 Year Engagement is also coming out April 27th. Just in case I shed some tears after the sheers, a movie pick me up definitely sounds right up my alley. Who's down to donate their hair with me??
I'm so bad at this.
Blogging is something that I've always wanted to do, and yet I can't get into the groove of it! I've read all sort of tid bits about how to just keep writing, don't get discouraged, eventually I'll make it a habit to post everyday etc. etc. etc. So today I realized it's been 34 whole days since I've posted anything at all. If I may reiterate, I am so bad at this!
Well, just in case anyone is reading this, I did try the apple cider vinegar on my scalp. To my surprise it did work! But unfortunately it only works for about a week, and then I have to rinse with it all over again. As for the bad smelling hair after rinsing with the vinegar, it doesn't really happen to me. I was my hair normally after and there's only the faintest scent of vinegar for about half a day. Does anyone have any more suggestions for me? I'd love to hear about them and maybe try them out!

Attack of the Snowy Monster! (Also known as me.)
I have a confession to make. For the past couple of months, I have had awful dandruff. When I say awful, I mean just flakes, but it's still embarrassing! I know, I know. I'm a gross monster. Either that, or I'm the new Snow White. Which ever one I may be, having dandruff totally sucks! I know most people I see and deal with every day probably don't notice or care in the least bit, but I always feel like it's much worse and avoid wearing dark colors and style my hair according to the severity of my burden on that particular day. So far, I have tried Neutrogena T/Gel, extra virgin olive oil, cold water while washing my hair (Which isn't pleasant in the winter. I don't care if I live in Southern California!), and even washing every other day, but none of those have worked for me yet. I just did a little research and have been finding a lot of good responses to ACV, or apple cider vinegar, and have also seen good responses to baking soda. I also found this article on Listerine and how it might also help clear up dandruff.
You better believe I'm out the door just as soon as I finish typing...
Wish me a flake free scalp by noon! Or else I might just dye my hair white and accept defeat.
P.S. Sorry if this was TMI.
P.P.S. I will definitely tell you if any of these remedies work out for me.

What size am I?
Finally, us ladies all have a system down to figure out which size we wear in various brands! Anna Powell-Smith created this rad system. I'm so stoked and already addicted! Not only has she designed this web app to give you a more accurate answer to which sizes you should wear for brands like Urban Outfitters, TopShop, and Zara, but she also made it more clear on if you're actually wearing the right size. What the web app also does is give women a better understanding of their own bodies and not feel like they're being squeezed into becoming the Stepford Wives. It might actually turn you on to different brands and ditch others once you see where your inches fit comfortably. "What size am I" can never ever be something to keep you up at night anymore. I can literally sleep better now.
Have fun, and you're welcome.

Fighting the Flu
It never fails to get me. Every year I say I'm going to get my flu shot, and every year I end up putting it off. Then of course, every year I get the f***ing flu. It hasn't won just yet, but I'm still worried it's going to take a cheap shot and sucker punch me before the weekend. The random rain isn't helping. So I'm currently trying out all the remedies known to mankind to kick this one in the butt.
But I'm also looking for awesome school supplies. I always get so excited to start a new semester so I can buy school supplies. Weird? Maybe.
Oh yeah, and I get to go to Sushi Mike's tonight with the boyfriend and E.

It's Valentine's Day...
...Just in case you didn't know. What's with all the mixed feelings about this particular day anyway? This Valentine's Day will be almost like any other day of the year. My boyfriend and I will be stuck at school trying to petition some overly crowded statistics and chemistry classes. Maybe we'll get lucky and our bestie from the East Coast who's here for work, E, will get out of work early so we can go on an adventure. E always knows what's what and where the haps is. Or we might actually get into the classes and be stuck listening to lecture number one about the class syllabus and how big the holes in our pockets will be after we buy our textbooks -_- We shall see.
Happy Valentine's Day.

Totally...
GUILTY!
Sorry to that special person in my life who tries so hard to do awesome things (i.e. tell me an story about how he rode a elephant in with three eyes...or something of the sort), and all I can think about is grammar. Oops!
